Who?
My name is Andrew Klein, and I bring over 20 years of experience in neuroscience research and biotech. I earned my degree in Neuroscience from Bowling Green State University and spent three years as a research assistant in an electrophysiology lab at the University of Michigan. I also have an MBA from Southern Methodist University.
In 2008, I transitioned to the biotech industry, focusing on sales, support, and marketing of neuroscience research tools. Since then, I’ve worked with both large and small companies, building teams, launching innovative products, supporting customers worldwide, and contributing to the growth of this dynamic field.
What?
My goal is to help individuals navigate the biotech job market, whether you’re a recent graduate in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, Psychology, or a related field, or an experienced professional seeking a career change or advancement. I’ve successfully guided people with diverse backgrounds and qualifications to secure roles in the biotech industry.
Why?
In my experience, academia excels at guiding trainees through academic careers but offers little preparation for other career paths.
Where?
I am based in North Texas and happy to meet in person if you’re local. For others, I offer convenient and effective Zoom meetings.
When?
It is never too early to start planning your next career move, especially when transitioning from academia to industry. While the leap can feel daunting, I am someone with the neuroscience industry skills, experiences, and network to help make the process smoother and more manageable.
